About us

Thanks for visiting our travel-school site. In this blog, we chronicle (the best we can) our family adventures – exploring and learning as we go.

About the Reys.

Tony is a pro sailor, coach and project manager for a variety of high vibe sailing programs and owner of Cloud10 Racing. A partner in Doyle Sails North America, Tony is also a tactician and race team leader with 33 years of experience on the winner’s podium in racing yachts from 15-200 feet. He is a veteran of the America’s Cup, Volvo Ocean Race and Olympics and races at the highest levels of Grand Prix circuits from TP52s to Maxis and Super-yachts. Our travel-school schedule loosely mirrors Tony’s racing schedule – He is the master planner and inspires us all to be more adventurous humans.

Lynne is an art lover, history buff, painter, poet, writer and apron-wearing, teacher-mom.  Super powers are:  snacks, floor-beds and meditation-coaching while driving to baseball games.  *If curious, some paintings can be found on lynnerey.com. Favorite subjects? Math, Literature and Poetry. Lynne’s first published book titled, “We Dream of Oysters” is available for sale on this site and online.

Sydney (28) lives a full and busy life as a linguist, writer, part-time producer and full-time traveler. She also teaches English to school-children in Shanghai, China. Sydney does not travel-school with us (anymore), but she’s an important member of our life TEAM. Check out sydreyproductions.com.

Sophia (15) is an artist, a voracious reader and student of the world. Sophia sails 420’s and can bake, draw, paint and DIY craft like a pro.  Her best sports are sailing, rock climbing, paddle-boarding, snorkeling, and softball. Sophia played softball for Thompson Middle School in Newport, RI and the Antorcha Softball team in Valencia, Spain.  Sophia sails for Ida Lewis Yacht Club and is currently on the Rogers High School Sailing Team.

Oliver (13)… Baseball, golf, basketball and soccer are his main games, but there is not a sport he won’t try. Oliver is a dedicated “speed-cuber” and likes sailing, reading, snorkeling, paddle-boarding and playing around in boats. In 2018, Oliver played baseball for Newport Little League Majors/All-Stars, Seawolves AAU, Ocean State Waves AAU, Newport Babe Ruth, as well as the Antorcha and Astros in the Beisból League of Valencia, Spain. Currently, Oliver plays baseball for the Ocean State Makos NEBA League, Thompson Middle School baseball team and the Newport Babe Ruth League.

We are passionate about plastic-free water, are big fans of all sailing everywhere, MLB (Baseball), every book ever-written and Sponge Bob Square Pants.
