Reading Lists

Books inspire us. They make us laugh and make us cry. Reading affords us many rich and varied experiences, opening our hearts to new ideas daily. Reading together, we find instances to relate literature to our daily lives (*see blog post “You Are What You Read”).

“Books help us understand who we are and how we are to behave. They show us what community and friendship mean.”

– Anne Lamott

Reading quality literature expands our minds and hearts in ways that both educate and evolve our humanity. To share our reading lists is to share a little bit of our souls. I have divided the kids’ reading lists into age/grade years (September-May) for easy searching. My annual reading lists are at the bottom of this page.

Please email and ask us about any of the titles listed. I am sure you will get a robust response!

“It is what you read when you don’t have to, that determines who you will be when you can’t help it.”

– Oscar Wilde
